Student Recognition Award:
APICS has more than 200 affiliated student chapters on college campuses throughout North America. APICS DC Metro currently are connected with three student chapters. These dynamic student chapters provide: Access to educational programs, networking opportunities, certification exams, and other resources opportunities to network with professional chapters Scholarships based on participation in APICS activities, as well as. The opportunity to participate in local student case competitions offered.
Award Presented to Ruichang Xu
University of Maryland (UMD) APICS Student Chapter, was honored with a Gold Award, in recognition for Outstanding APICS Student Chapter Management. Student chapters are recognized for academic achievement and awarded to those chapters who go above and beyond minimum standards. UMD are the recipient of three awards for Program Years 2017 to 2019 along with a $75 Visa gift card. Maryanne Ross Award:
Volunteer Appreciation: In a volunteer organization, it is easy to forget that leaders give their time freely to APICS and the mission of the APICS chapter. Recognizing leaders is a way to appreciate them for service and increase volunteer satisfaction.
Maryanne Ross Award of Excellence: Started in 2014 Award to Honor Outstanding Dedication and Service to the chapter; the expansion of the APICS Body of Knowledge; and promotion of APICS within the community, the APICS Cumberland Valley Committee presents the Maryanne Ross Award of Excellence.
Award Presented to Phil Gaudiano, CPA
Phil Gaudiano is being recognized for FY2018/2019 Mary Anne Ross award for his contributions to APICS DC Metro. While Phil himself is not a member of the organization he works pro bono on most accounting needs for the Chapter. During the merger of the Cumberland Valley Chapter and DC Metro Phil was key in guiding the board through technical questions. We truly appreciate all Phil’s advice and quick responsiveness and would be at a loss without his support.

Award Presented to Beck Mfg a division of Anvil International
Beck has 2 members in the DC Metro chapter, one who is pursing CPIM certifications. Two employees served as volunteers at various positions on the board and committees that operate DC Metro APICS. Over the past few years Beck has hosted tours at its Greencastle and Waynesboro plants. Without these volunteer's efforts, we would not be able to offer professional dinner meetings and tours that support expanding knowledge of APICS body of knowledge.
